Archie and Jude McBean were the pastors of Catalyst Vineyard Church, Inverurie since it's start, 10 years ago. They started the site with a team of about 25/30 people. Prior to that and at the same time as that, they were on staff as the children's pastors overseeing the kids ministry in 8 different locations.

It was a few years ago that they felt the Lord call them to plant a church. Along with their three teenage children they have been on an adventure of hearing where in Scotland that should be. They went to numerous places and after a number of prophetic words and a sense that they were meant to be up in Moray, they felt called to move to Elgin in the summer of 2024.

So in August 2024, Elgin Vineyard Church was born. We started meeting in various homes and at different locations until it became clear that we needed to find somewhere to meet each week. So, in January 2025 we started meeting at Elgin Community Centre, where as a church we have been meeting every Sunday (at 10:30am) since.

We want to be a generous church of people who authentically pursue God, whilst learning to live and love like Jesus. As a result of this, we would love to see God transforming our community, bringing healing, wholeness and freedom.
